To assess the roles of CLCN3 in breast cancer, we next performed three-dimensional (3D) spheroid proliferation analyses using MCF10A-ErbB2 cells treated with MCF10A-neo-derived exosomes or CLCN3 shRNA stably expressing SKBR3 and MDA-MB-453 breast cancer cells.
In the present study, we showed the involvement of intracellular organelle ClC-3 Cl- /H+ transporter in HER2 transcription in breast cancer MDA-MB-453 cells.
ClC-3 was highly expressed in the P-glycoprotein (P-gp)-dependent human lung adenocarcinoma cell line (A549)/paclitaxel (PTX) and the human breast carcinoma cell line (MCF-7)/doxorubicin (DOX) resistant cells.
